19th Athens Xclusive Designers Week

These are the collections that we'll enjoy in the catwalk of Fashion Week of Athens!

April 8th - 11th / Ethniki Asfalistiki Conference Center


All time elegance, new trends, romantic, rock and theatrical elements describe the collections for the season Fall/ Winter 2016-2017 signed by the designers and the fashion brands of 19th International Fashion Week of Athens, Athens Xclusive Designers Week (AXDW), from April 8th to 11th.

The fashion brand .LAK with the signature of the unique Lakis Gavalas is back after 6 years on the catwalk with the collection .LAK POLO STORIES, in which the evolution of a polo style shirt unfolds in a show that will be discussed for its direction and its outstanding aesthetics.

The design duo Dimitris Strepkos and Elena Barla with the brand Celebrity Skin, impresses for one more season with its avant garde creations, the special accessories, the impressive handmade details and the headpieces and with the guest appearances of celebrities who in the role of a model!

The ultimate youthful fashion brand Funky Buddhα presents its new collection for girls and boys, who want to wear clothes inspired by values such as freedom, respect to the individual and to the environment.

Gio Sourgiadakis will present the men's collections the "UNCOMMON" for the fashion brand Gio.S and "New Dandy... The Elegant Gentleman" for the fashion brand Me & My, presenting an alternative side for men's style.

The guest of honor designer of the event from Poland, Natalia Jaroszewska with the brand Jaroszewska presents the collection with the title Foxey Lady. Her A/W 2016-2017 collection includes maxi dresses with leather details and lace and airy tunics, which will bring the hippie's style of the '70s in the catwalk of AXDW.

The well-known fashion house Kathy Heyndels presents the collection with the title "Body Sculpture" starring golden tones on white fabrics with transparencies, lace and details of leather and metal, as well as vivid colors and laser cut openings that highlight the female figure.

A 'sensitive' collection with laces, muslins, flowers, where are dominated the white and the black color, is presented by the timeless Makis Tselios for the season A/W 2016-2017.

The Cyprian Notis Panagiotou is coming on the catwalk of AXDW with the collection "Marlene Detrich", which is inspired from the German actress and singer of cinema, with creations in androgynous style, playing with shades of black, off white, shades of emerald and anthracite.

The ethnic Panos Apergis presents the collection with the title Rock-Romantic, the creations of which collide and combine, balancing between dynamism and innocence.

Tassos Mitropoulos presents the collection Bourlesque which is inspired by the musicals of '30s and '40s and by swing music. The leading part have the corsets, feathers, the halter neck and the wacky fringes that will transfer us to another decade.

The guests of AXDW will have the chance to enjoy the breath-taking show of fashion brand Topshop by Sotris, which will transfer us for a while in the beloved London. Highlight of the show is the participation of well-known Greek fashion bloggers who will leave their own mark in the catwalk. The collection of Topshop is available in stores Sotris, which are the first choice of those who prefer unique fashion pieces!

The third day of 19th AXDW is dedicated in the ordinance of New Designers Awards, which 10 years now highlights and rewards young talents. The 23 new designers that assert the 3 awards presenting their F/W 2016-2017 collections are: Andry Anastasiou, Chloe Moumbaris, Chris & Tonia, Christina Teligiannidou, Euphrosyne Vlassi, Fotini Lgk, Joy Koumentakou I madebyjk, Maria Vytinidou Luxury Handwoven Design Brand, Maro Martzh, MK by Marios, Penelope Demetriou, TLΓΔ,  Valia Kaσtrouny. The day will close the fashion school AthensFashionClub Fashion School,  showing creations of its students in group catwalk.

For all the days, the guests of the event will have the chance to visit the special showcase platform of Greek fashion accessories creators, the Xclusive Elements, purchase and enjoy the specially customized prices for the public of the AXDW and see the collections of 7pm by Marina Panagiotoulia, Art2wear - Rachil Andreadou, Dristela Handmade Creations, E.T. Creations by Elsa Toli, Elissavet Maurogeni, Miaou Niaou and Treis.

AXDW opens the doors to everyone who feels that has talent in design, and invites them to take part in the open design competition Fashion Design Project, regardless of profession and education, compete for a place in New Designers Awards of next event, by «winning» the votes of public through the open online voting. So as to take part, the candidates can go online on www.axdw.gr, in the tab Fashion Design Project.
