Impressive fashion shows took place on the 3rd day of the 12th Athens Xclusive Designers Week at the Ethniki Asfalistiki Conference Center, where the new fashion trends for Spring-Summer 2013 were presented.

 

Since 2007, AXDW supports and promotes Greek fashion within and across borders. Having developed a unique platform that has evolved over the years, the organization has provided unique opportunities to Greek designers - established and new - to emerge in Greece and abroad. Even in this difficult socio-economic status which is established in our country and challenging the fashion industry, AXDW remains, grows and continues to fulfill its mission: to export Greek fashion in the world.

 

At the fashion shows which were held on the 3rd day of the event, the designers who presented their collections are:

 

Rita Pateroni presented a collection for next summer full of colors and images from East countries while lace and satin fabric dominated the new collection.

 

The duet Celebrity Skin impressed with their unique collection "Bipolar Disorder S/S 2013 characterized by the familiar avant garde style, in tints of black and white with intricate knitting techniques and moulage, using embroidered stones and zircon. Also, many celebrities walked on the catwalk.

 

The designer Stelios Koudounaris presented an impressive catwalk and in his new collection the blue-green iridescence is the main new element while the shades of gray and beige with black metal accents highlight the textures of the fabrics. The multiple layers remain fluid, in almost "wet" silhouettes along with more geometric pieces while stripes returned with an interesting mix of patchwork. On the other hand, the new male collection consists of soft, summer colors.

 

The famous designer Makis Tselios presented a collection inspired by the elegant 50s and 60s adapted to modern times. Female dresses that emphasize on the feminine silhouette combined with fabrics like silk taffeta, muslin and lace honor the modern woman. The collection was completed by cocktail evening dresses in black, red and dark green and the well-known top model Dimitra Kostaki walked the catwalk.

 

Designer Panos Apergis closed the evening presenting a collection inspired by Africa. Focusing on the primitive materials of the African continent, like leather, wool, bright colors and designs, tailored to the modern woman.

Unique showrooms by Boutique Underground, Nene Haute Couture and Eleonora THE106 gain the attention of visitors to the first day of the event!

 

Moreover, AXDW supports the charity Arogi with a very surprising action connected with fashion: new designers of AXDW designed  collectible T-shirts especially for Arogi, which are sold to support the charity.

 

The make up of 12th AXDW was directed once again by the French brand of professional make up MAKE UP FOR EVER exclusively available at SEPHORA. AXDW was pleased to host the head make up artists of MAKE UP FOR EVER from Paris who along with the Greek make up artist Emmanuel Apostolakis, directed the make up for the fashion shows of the event, giving an impressive result at catwalk looks.

 

An amazing Body Painting from MAKE UP FOR EVER won the attention of the visitors and gave color to AXDW venue!

 

The rhythm of music gave the radio producer from Best Radio Maria Papidaki & Nikos Drogosis.

 

The hottest meeting point is the café of Douwe Egberts with cold and hot instant coffee and espresso for all tastes!

AXDW bar is full of totally red Cointreaupolitans while the Pro Active Liquid Collagen introduces" visitors to the benefits of drinking liquid collagen!

 

All eyes turned to the GNTO venue: 5 Greek designers printed their favorite Greek destination in creations specially made for GNTO - Aslanis, Celebrity Skin, Makis Tselios, Miltos, Vassilis Zoulias gave their personal stigma.

 

 

On the last day of the event, Tuesday October 23rd, there will be a unique "Meet the Designers Closing Party" dedicated to Greek fashion, while guests will have the opportunity to meet the designers.
